The Death Card Collective (DCC) is an online workshop designed for personal reflection and community engagement in a non-therapeutic, non-clinical environment. While participants may experience meaningful personal reflection through introspective work, DCC is not a counseling, therapy, or medical program.
Due to DCC requiring significant planning and organization beforehand, all DCC registrations are non-refundable. If an issue arises, please contact the facilitator directly via email only at hello@literallyworkingthroughit.com. In the unlikely event that DCC must postpone or cancel a cohort due to circumstances outside of its control, participants will have the option to attend a future cohort or receive a full refund issued within ten (10) business days.
DCC is committed to creating a supportive, creative, and inclusive environment where adults from many backgrounds, beliefs, and life experiences come together to process loss and rediscover hope. Participants agree to engage respectfully with fellow participants, staff, and the grief process as well as help maintain a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental group atmosphere grounded in authentic presence, emotional safety, and meaningful connection. DCC recognizes that individuals come from many walks of life and maintains a culture of compassion and respect. Failure to adhere to these expectations may result in removal from a cohort at DCC’s sole discretion in order to preserve a safe and supportive space for all participants.
DCC welcomes individuals from diverse cultures, identities, and perspectives. Participants acknowledge that they may encounter ideas, expressions, or perspectives that differ from their own. Feeling discomfort or disagreement does not, by itself, constitute harassment or a violation of these Terms. Participants are expected to engage respectfully and to allow space for differing viewpoints so long as behavior remains lawful and non-harassing.
DCC does not tolerate conduct that is unlawful, discriminatory, threatening, or that materially disrupts the safety of the group environment. DCC reserves sole discretion to remove any participant whose conduct poses a risk to the wellbeing of others or to the integrity of the cohort experience. Removal for violation of these expectations will result in forfeiture of participation without refund.
DCC provides a structured environment but cannot control or guarantee the personal opinions, speech, or self-expression of individual participants. By attending, participants acknowledge that interactions with others are part of a shared community experience.
All DCC materials, exercises, program concepts, and branding remain the exclusive property of DCC and may not be copied, reproduced, or used to create competing programs without written permission. To maintain a safe and supportive environment, participants agree to respect the privacy of others and keep shared personal experiences confidential. Participants agree not to make knowingly false or misleading statements intended to harm DCC or its community while remaining free to share honest opinions or report unlawful conduct. DCC may pursue appropriate legal remedies if these agreements are violated. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
DCC is a workshop designed for personal reflection and community engagement and connection. While facilitators may guide reflective exercises, movement, performance, or group discussion, they are not therapists, psychologists, or licensed mental health professionals, and DCC workshops are not therapy, counseling, or medical treatment.
Participants understand that individuals may experience a wide range of feelings — including strong or intense emotional reactions — during artistic or group-based experiences. Each participant remains fully responsible for their own emotional, physical, and mental well-being at all times.
Participants agree to monitor their own comfort level and to step back from any activity that feels overwhelming, unsafe, or inappropriate for them. If at any time a participant believes they may need medical attention or emergency support, they should immediately seek appropriate medical support.
By attending, participants acknowledge and agree that participation is voluntary and self-directed, and that they are responsible for setting their own personal boundaries and choosing how deeply to engage in any activity.
DCC does not provide clinical support, crisis intervention, or mental health treatment.
DCC makes no guarantees regarding personal growth, emotional breakthroughs, healing, transformation, or any specific life outcome. Experiences will vary for each participant. By registering, you confirm that you feel able to participate safely in an online community environment and that you will seek professional support outside of camp if therapeutic or medical care is needed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DCC and its facilitators are not responsible for participants’ personal interpretations, emotional responses, or decisions made during or after cohort participation. Our goal is always to create a supportive and respectful environment — while honoring that each participant’s journey and wellbeing ultimately remain their own.
